Steve Lee (Gotthard) is no more.
Terrible news ...
It was a road trip to the United States with a dozen friends bikers. It was raining and they were all arrested on the emergency lane to don their rain suits. Unfortunately, a truck whose driver lost control following a slide struck several motorcycles: one of them violently heurée Steve, who died a few minutes later, despite aid who tried unsuccessfully to revive him.
His wife and bassist were present. The singer was the only one affected by this fatal accident.
only two months ago, Steve Lee was unhurt (unlike his wife was seriously injured) from a serious car crash in Italy. "I think really have a guardian angel who likes rock," he given after the accident ... The fate decided otherwise.
I'm still shocked by the news learned yesterday ... I really like Gotthard, and in particular singer, a charismatic man with a beautiful voice and take the public who knew him. A true frontman.
Born August 5, 1963 in Horgen (ZH), a British father and a Swiss mother, Steve Lee grew up near Lugano, where he had served an apprenticeship as a goldsmith before founding Gotthard early 1990s. The hard rock band had quickly card in Switzerland and Germany before being celebrated in the rest of Europe and Japan, with hits like "Heaven" or "Anytime, Anywhere."
The metal world lost, again, one of its biggest names ... My thoughts are with his family ... Rest in peace Steve.
